Spicy Dukka with Oil-Dipped Bread and Crudites

Serves: 1 – 2

INGREDIENTS:

3/4 cup (180ml) sesame seeds
½ cup (125ml) almonds
½ cup (125ml) hazelnuts
½ cup (125ml) coriander seeds
2 Tbsp (30ml) cumin seeds
1 tsp (5ml) turmeric
½ tsp (3ml) salt
½ tsp (3ml) black peppercorns

Method:

  1. Westfalia Mediterranean Flavoured Avocado Oil
  2. Balsamic vinegar
  3. 3 cups (750ml) assorted crispy seasonal vegetables, cut into strips
  4. Crusty bread, to serve 1
  5. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  6. Toss all dukka ingredients together on a baking tray. Roast for 3-4 minutes or until fragrant.
  7. Tip into a food processor and pulse until coarsely ground. Decant ½ cup of dukka mixture into a shallow bowl.
  8. Mix equal amounts of oil and vinegar together in a shallow bowl.
  9. Serve crudités (vegetables) and chunks of bread with oil mixture and dukka.
